February 2024 Session
Training objectives: (1) To provide current yoga teachers with an experiential understanding of how to offer safe and effective hands-on assists to their students. (2) To impart an understanding of the foundational keys of assisting, including approach and delivery, pressure and resistance, intention and impact, lines of energy, dual action, compassion, reading bodies, 3-limbed assists, and more.
What to expect: Trainees will develop the skills required to offer both static and dynamic assists during flow-based yoga classes via small group discussion and workshop-style learning. Assisting theory will be applied to classic standing asanas, balance postures, and select peak poses. Trainees will have time to demonstrate newly-learned skills and will receive immediate feedback from teachers and peers.
